Since before time can remember, the wolves and the goats have always been at odds with each other. Wolves, who hunt goats for food, are despised by their prey who seek simply to live a life a peace. But during a vicious storm one night, a goat and a wolf make a chance meeting that will change not only their lives but the lives of all of their kind as well.
Mei, the innocent and naïve goat, unwittingly makes friends with Gabu, an unorthodox wolf. As their forbidden friendship deepens, their clans begin to realize what is happening. The frightful leader of the wolf clan (who also holds the key to Mei’s tragic past) coerces Gabu into extracting information about the goats from Mei; Mei’s clan forces him to do the same of Gabu. Can Gabu and Mei outwit the scheming intentions of their tribes and remain friends? When tragedy strikes, will the need for survival make Gabu forget his friendship with Mei? Perhaps both tribes’ ties to the past are just too strong to break – can the two friends ever truly belong?
