At long last, the enemy of all that is good has been slain. However, when Naraku’s lackeys Kagura and Kanna pursue their dreams of freedom without their master, a greater terror than ever before seems to be unleashed. The terror’s name is Kaguya, and she is the wicked Ruler of the Night. She has been trapped within a mirror since the fateful day that Miroku’s grandfather sealed her to protect the world. Needless to say, a couple decades locked away have made her none too happy.
She uses Kagura to gather five sacred objects necessary for her return to power. Then, she takes up residence in the Castle Beyond the Looking Glass, where she will begin her reign of terror. She is the controller of time – with her powers, everything both living and dead will be completely erased from existence. A pure, full moon will rise each night for eternity. And when Kagome – the world’s only chance of victory – is taken captive by Kaguya herself, it seems that our heroes will be banished eternally to the cruel world of illusion.
