In the time of Warring States, there was much conflict and epiphanies that led men astrayed of truth strength and folks driven towards the evil of greed. However; there was one unique man that witness and acted in an unforgettable nature--a wandering swordsman of the name, Nanashi. Consumed by his nightmares of a vindictive past, fate has finally brought him to a scenario of saving an orphaned child called Kotaro and Kotaro's dog, Tobimaru. Unfortunately, Kotaro is doomed to be a sacrifice for the emperor's belief of immortality and is currently being hunted by the Ming Dynasty in order to iniate the emperor's wish. In spite of all this, Nanashi is now confronted with the weight of salvation and a sword kept locked due to the drench of reluctant murder.
